I am a little confused as to what documents I need to provide with the I-130 petition for my stepchild. I am sponsoring my wife and her son who is my stepson. As per I-130 instructions I DO NOT need a G-325a for a child. It also appears that I do not need my own (petitioner's) form G-325a, and I do not need passport-size photographs for me and for the child. Is that correct? It looks like all I need is the I-130, Divorce/Marriage Certificates, and the kid's Birth Certificate.

Do I need to provide any proof of relationship with my stepchild? What would that be? Family travels? Pictures? Postcards? Please advise.

My hubby filed an I-130 for my son (his stepson).

All he sent was the I-130 application, his birth cert, my sons birth cert, our marriage cert(to prove our relationship) and my divorce cert (to prove I was legally free to remarry). We were approved thru CSC with no RFE's at all.

Good luck!
