I'm a petitioner, do I need to send my original Birth certificate?

I already sent a copy of my birth certificate and a copy of the translation( I wasn't born in the US I gained the citizenship via marriage)

I'm about to send DS230 for my mom, but I never recieve any REF email for missing document yet. do I have to send my original birth certificate with my mom's docoments?

The petitioner need to send his/her original birth certificate.....

Based on NVC site, Certified Copy of any documents is more than sufficient if you don't have the original.


I-130 Timeline for both parents

California Service Center

District Office: Chicago, IL

Consular: Delhi, India

06/23/10- Sent I-130 package to Chicago

06/24/10- Chicago Received my I-130 package

06/24/10- Notice of Action Date

06/28/10- Check cashed

06/30/10- Received NOA1

11/26/10- Touched

11/29/10- Touched

11/30/10- Received NOA2 (Approval)

NVC

----

12/03/10- NVC Case# assigned

12/06/10- Called NVC got case number and updated petitioner and Beneficiary email address

12/07/10- emailed 3032 through email and received IIN over the phone

12/07/10- AOS fee bill generated. Paid. status In Progress

12/08/10- AOS bill marked as PAID

12/09/10- Mailed AOS package to NVC by USPS express mail and delivered on 12/10/10

12/10/10- Mailed DS-3032

12/14/10- Received email from NVC -- DS-3032 Accepted -- IV bill generated

12/16/10- Received email from NVC on IV bill - IV fees paid. Status In Progress

12/21/10- IV bill marked as PAID

12/21/10- Waiting for PCC from parents- Should be mailed tonight from India

01/10/11- Mailed DS-230 package to NVC by USPS express mail delivered on 01/11/11

01/20/11- DS-230s entered into system and told to allow 6-8 weeks

02/15/11- NVC Completed the Case

04/18/11- Interview Date
