I think it's highly questionable that people (naming no names here - although I suspect shortlist of "suspects" can be counted on 1 or 2 fingers) could not only make complaint against other posters who have clearly committed no "offence" under the TOS but could actually get a moderator response to it.

As pointed out earlier - the TOS is what governs the conduct of posters on this site, not the informal rulebook of one or two members.

Yes, TOS governs our conduct but TOS does not govern this site. What governs this site is Ewok. This site and each thread in it is essentially his private property. I've asked him for clarification and if he tells me he doesn't want to see me on this thread, I'll leave. In a sense, the complainants have it easy. They just have to convince one guy - Ewok.

Well, yes. It is unfair, and maybe I'm following the coward's path by staying out of The Other Thread. At no time in there did any of us commit a sin against the TOS we agreed to when signed up. It's one thing to have a TOS, and another to enforce it inconsistently and capriciously. If there is to be one set of rules for some members and another for the rest of us, we need to consider agitating for redrafting the TOS to reflect this change.

I always thought this was an open thread, that no one 'owned' it per se, since it had taken on a life of its own many iterations ago. I was new in here in December or January, not all that long ago. Others have joined since me. Up until recently, everyone has been welcomed. I'm not sure what has happened now, or why the moderators/admin are taking an interest, since there have been no TOS violations that I have seen, and I am in here on a regular basis.

Edited to complete my thought there in the middle somewhere.

I don't see how - all he'd have to do is look back at the start of this thread and see who was actually creating the drama. I responded to some of the snide commentary - but it's blatantly clear that others simply threw their toys out of their pram because they have a problem sharing a thread with others.

IMO = it's their problem, not ours.

Good question. Maybe you could ask the Admin for us? We could use an advocate :)
