green card make me very confuced

hi... im estu.

i come to US with k-1 visa and now i have marriage already.

im starting filing for my green card last month.

i have sent I-485 + check (without support document) & I-130 + check.

i ask to someone b4 and she said i dont need I-130 cause i come with K-1

but another people said i need it. so i cancel the check.

and two week later i get my notice I-797c for I-130. and they send me form I-90

now i still prepare for rest for document support I-485.

why uscis send me that form,it's really make me confuced.

i have call national customer service but again they give me wrong information :(

please help me and tell me what should i do now.

I don't think you need to file form i-130. When did you POE and when did you get married? Was it within 90 days of POE?

If you did everything within the K-1 requirements you do not need i-130.

Are you sure they sent you form I-90? That is odd, because that's for green card replacement, which you don't have yet..

You should make an infopass appointment about this.

There is a reason why that national customer service number has the nickname mis-information line!

Since you entered the US with a K1 visa, you didn't need to file an I-130 which is only used to Adjust Status from a non-immigrant visa (ex. tourist, student, work) to permanent residency. Definitely make an Infopass appointment with your local Immigration office to clear things up.

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview

Since you entered the US with a K1 visa, you didn't need to file an I-130 which is only used to Adjust Status from a non-immigrant visa (ex. tourist, student, work) to permanent residency. Definitely make an Infopass appointment with your local Immigration office to clear things up.

thank you for the information :)

i have been marriage before my POE is finishand yes they really do send me I-90 form, that's why make me so confused.

i try to make appointment on friday,hope everything is clear and fine...!
