First we would like to thank everyone for helping us on our LONG journey.

We checked our K1 status on the USCIS web site and it states that May 28 2010 they received our petition.Next to the APPROVED button is the "Initial Review".

Does this mean that they want finger print or something to do with a criminal record? Will this cause a delay? We are not sure what to expect because we have search VJ and the net with no real explanation. We appreciate any guidance we can get.

Thanks, Jay.

Initial review means they are looking at your application. Checking for the documents you sent. Doing background checks with the evidence of relationship that you sent. It won't cause any delay because that is a normal process. You don't have to worry about that. Just seat back, relax, and wait for NOA2, it can be RFE or the Approval.

Good Luck on your journey!

whatever comes our way, we are gonna make it through

Thank you.

I also have a criminal record like the post 2 minutes before me, so our nerves are rattled.

Thanks again.
