After NOA2 I waited several weeks and with no contact from consulate before calling the DOS.I inquired as to the status of our case...was informed that the consulatehad not yet rcvd our case. I waited another 2 or 3 weeks ... (no contact from consulate) and called DOS again.I was informed that info had been sent to my immigration councelor and that an interview date had been set for July. Counselor had not rcvd anything yet. Waited another 3 or 4 weeks and called DOS once again...this rep told me that my pkt 3 info was rcvd at the consulte (how I asked...since we never rcvd the paperwork)

Long story short my councelor nor I nor my fiance ever rcvd any pkt 3 paperwork nor have we rcvd a letter of invitation for her interview. After emailing the consulate re: the letter of invitation I got a response stating her interview date was (such a date) and that she should "go to the clinic for her medical immediately" WE never received a formal letter of invitation.

Has anyone ever experienced this level of incompetency or lack of response/service?

Curious about others experiences.

Unfortunately after several non specific email responses from the consulate I lost my kool and shot off a less than flattering email which I must say included a generous amount of begging for a direct response.

They never responded......Go figure! Hoping we have not now been blacklisted!

I hate to say this but you are dealing with Lagos and they think they are processing someones visa and that they are dealing with someone. I would suggest you go to the consulate site and download your forms. Get your medical started as there is no way you can finish it in time so there you won't be fully approved on your interview date.

They will at a minimum hold it for completed medical. The fact that you went from not received to a real soon is a good sign they have their wires crossed. Most interviews are being scheduled months out.

When it comes to emailing them Do you get the auto reply ? If not you have probably hit them when their mail is down. Try emailing during their daytime I always had better luck then.
