are we gonna have a VJ fantasy football league this year?...real football, w/ real athletes, something worth watching. maybe we should start the sign ups soon in another thread.

Oh yeah Im all in for a VJ fantasy football league this year. Some hard hitting action in a sport thats not scared to use the lastest technology.

Do you want to run it this year? I will be very busy and dont know if I will have the time.

and should we call Soccer foot/head/kneeball ? Instead going down this silly road of how in football we use our hands more than our feet I think we should address the sports themselves. I would be more than happy to tell you how great of a sport football is.

No, it is called football, because you primarily push a ball around with....... your foot. Contact with head, chest, and knees is secondary. I suppose you could call American Football something like Bionic Rugby or something. Now, dont' get me wrong, I absolutely love both sports. But, I'm a Raider fan, so I've already finished scouting next years draft after we go 4-12 again this year and need some sort of entertainment. Seriously, you can't argue rationally which of the two sports is more aptly named Football.

It doesn't make it not true. Of a planet of over 6 billion, only roughly 400 million call Football, Soccer. Football was around long before, and is much more popular. I think most take offense that a sport which is derived from Rugby co opted the name which has little to no bearing on the actual sport. Suggesting to move on smacks of arrogance.
