OK, so i have read the poverty guideline, and found this link:

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864P.pdf

its just me and my wife - hence we are 2 = $18,212.

i am starting a new Job this week and will make more then that easily.

right now i am not making that as i am working part time.

is my projected future income from this job good enough for this form?

if it is valid for this form how to i go about filing it? or what kind of evidence do i need?

my income up to now is negligible, and we had a co-sponsor for the k-1 application.

also, as far as assets go - we are photographers and our gear is easily worth more then what is required, is that viable at all to use as assets?

thanks all

Omer

You can provide a variety of things to show current income.

These include (but are not limited to):

An employment letter (Include name, job title, part or full time, temp or permanent, starting date and salary/hourly rate)

Pay stubs

Bank statements showing income deposited.

You will still need to submit your taxes from 2009 even if they don't show much (or any) income. I would suggest that you attach a cover letter explaining your situation. If you had income above what's required in 2008 and/or 2007, I would include that to show that 2009 was just a bad year, as it was for many other people as well.

You could *try* to use your photography equipment as assets, but I think you'll find that the burden of proving its free market value (not what you paid for it new) will be burdensome as well as yield a number much lower than you may think. Additionally, if doing your job depends on you having that equipment they may determine that it's not really an asset available for liquidation.
