I just sent in our I-129F and one of the last steps on the guide is to make 2 copies, one to keep and one to send to the fiancee.

I am wondering if it is sufficient for her to bring a copy which is just photocopies of all the pages of the package to the interview.

What I was actually doing was printing out all the forms, again, and putting fresh signatures on them so the papers she brings to the interview will have valid signatures on them, and not just be photocopies of the originally signed documents that were sent in.

Am I wasting my time doing this?

Can I just give her the photocopied version?

I think I read that she will need original photographs, at least. I made 2 prints of each photo so I can send her those.

Yes, you're wasting your time. They won't ask for original copies of any of the forms you submitted with the petition. They already have the entire petition package you sent to USCIS. Even if they happened to lose one of those original forms, they could not technically replace it with one you sent to your fiancee. They can add additional documents to the file, but they cannot mess around with the contents of a petition package that has already been approved by USCIS. Consulates do not have this authority.

What the consulate can do is ask to see the original document for any evidence that was included with the petition. This means birth certificates, divorce decrees, photos, boarding passes, hotel receipts, whatever. Your fiance should have this original evidence available at the interview in case they ask to see it (they probably won't).

The main reason for sending your fiance a verbatim copy of the entire petition package, just as you sent it to USCIS, is so that she will know precisely what the consulate has received from USCIS. Interview questions, and confirmation of the answers, often come from the petition package.

In summary, send her a verbatim copy of the petition package for her own study. Send her the original copy of any evidence you submitted with the petition for her to bring to the interview.

Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. I was going crazy trying to make a whole new package. It was hard enough doing it the first time.

This helps a ton, and answers all my questions.

Thank you.
