Hello all. I have 2 questions to ask in reference to a CR1 Interview in Manila:

1) Are the Manila COs asking for a CENMAR (Cert Of Marriage) in addition to the NSO original Marriage License? I am not talking about the CENOMAR (Cert of NO Marriage) but a CENMAR.

2) If there is a name spelled incorrectly on the CENMAR, is there a way to correct it and how?

Yes, the CO will ask for it at the Interview

On the name spelling. Well, I am not sure, you should have your wife file for a corrected copy ASAP. (these can take Ages in the PI)

They did not ask for this document from the NVC or the Consulate. All the papers were submitted to the NVC (NSO Marriage certificate) was the only

marriage document.

My wife was asked for a CENMAR at the Embassy.

Mhay was not asked for much of anything at the interview...mostly just recent pictures and such. The NSO marriage certificate is what is needed though. I did have Mhay take that with her.

At May's interview they asked for a Cenomar (which she didn't have because she was married in the Philippines to a Japanese citizen and later divorced in Japan). She provided them with her Japanese Divorce decree and the Philippine Recognition of Foreign Divorce ruling. She was give her Visa.

just have her take everything, you can help her thru the nso website, you pay and she gets it, so she dont have to be traveling everywhere like my girl was, until i found this option
