That's primarily due to clock stoppages. You make a play and run out of bounds that automatically stops the clock. An incomplete pass stops the clock etc.

You'll notice that games haven't really changed in length since IR was introduced.

It takes a stopped clock, though, for IR to fit in. Wouldn't work in soccer without having an adverse impact on the flow of the game.

For someone that gave football a chance you should know that why the games take so long is not because of instant replay. You do know how instant replay works in NFL right?

Look at how the NBA deals with instant replay, basketball is also a fast paced game. A system like that wouldn't effect this "flow" you keep talking about.

Wouldn't need to. Just like everything else you add the time on at the end. A 90 second review of a foul would add 90 sec on at the end.
