Hoping my fellow VJer's can help us out with some advice here.

We live in Boston and my wife passed her citizenship interview about a month ago and we are waiting for word on when the ceremony will be.

Trouble is, I just took a new job in Colorado, we just sold our house and my wife and son will join me in CO next week.

We are having all our mail forwarded to CO, but will USCIS allow a letter to be forwarded?

Should we send a change of address form? Who do we send it to given we're in between these final steps?

Any advice/assistance is appreciated.

One other question. Is my wife considered a US citizen after passing her interview, or is she not a US citizen until after the ceremony?

The letter that the USCIS will send you with the oath information cannot be forwarded, I have the envelope here from my oath two weeks ago and it clearly says no forwarding on it. You will need to attend this matter asap.

At this point you cannot change your address via mail, the only way to change it is to contact the office directly where your wife had her interview, they should have provided her with some sort of paperwork with a contact number on it. This will be a local number, not a 1800. You could also schedule an infopass.

Your wife is not a citizen until the oath is taken, the bad news in this case is that you will have to reside in most cases for three months in the USCIS district where the oath is taking place in order to be eligible, so unless this can be taken care of before you guys leave, they might put her in limbo for three months while the paperwork is transfered and a new oath is scheduled in Colorado. Good luck !

Have your wife go to the local office where she had the interview and ask to speak to the same IO. You're looking at months before she is scheduled for oath ceremony in another office so why not look into the next available ceremony in Boston and fly out for that.
