It is more convenient and a lot faster. Been using it for a while and got no problem with it.

Moneygram works pretty well for us. The fee is a flat $10 at WallMart. Check to see if there are places to get a moneygram where you are sending.

Western Union is little bit expensive than Xoom or Moneygram.

Compare fees from these 3 service providers.

My husband and I use Xoom to send money to the Philippines.

And there are some coupons available and being posted here in VJ to slash few bucks from the transfer fee.

I send my wife money every two weeks and I use www.remithome.com. These guys are fantastic and very professional. The fee is 8 dollars for each transactions u to $2,500 dollars. You can have it delivered door to door, have it scheduled to be picked up at a bank or just deposited into their bank account. They can even set up reoccuring transactions for you. I really like these guys and have been using them for the last year and a half. Most western union pick up is at a pawn shop and its not very safe.

I also have another vendor you can use as well. Try WWW.XOOM.COM. These guys only charge 3 to 5 dollars a transaction but you get less favorable exchange rate. They have the same service as the remithome.

I find that these two vendors are best for sending cash to the philippines and very reliable.

I have used western union online, but they are more expensive than sending western union from my bank. I just gave Mhay an ATM card and then it was better...less fees until they started doing the fee at the ATM. My bank would only charge 1% of the transaction to withdraw money out of an ATM.

Moneygram is cheaper and has a better exchange rate

The best way to send moneygram....is to send it in US dollars...then they can exchange it at the current rate instead of having Moneygram give you a lower exchange rate!

She could get an extra 300-400 pesos if sending $300 in US funds instead of sending pesos!

BTW...Walmart rate is $9.00 on sending $200 and it is $10 if sending $300.

Better to send $300!!! she'll be happier too....
