Our I129F was approved last 23 March 2010 and was wrongly forwarded to US embassy in Abu Dhabi instead to US embassy in Manila by NVC. Although we requested upon filing to forward our files to US embassy in Manila once it gets approved, but NVC forwarded it to Abu Dhabi based on my address on filing the petition. Now I quit my job and in Dubai and came back in the Philippines for my interview, only to find out that my papers is in Abu Dhabi and its too late for me to go back because my residence visa in UAE was cancelled right after I quit my job. We requested Abu Dhabi to forwarded my case to Manila and they told me they forwarded it last 20 May 2010. I tried to call US embassy manila last tuesday 01 June 2010 to try to set up for an iterview but they told me my case is not yet in there database.

My question is; how long does it takes for the US embassy Manila to enter my case in their database? does anyone have the same experience? any answer will be highly appreciated.

Very unusual and different experiences might occur for the first time as might be your case. Specifically there might not be anyone reading this forum that has requested the transfer of a case from Abu Dhabi to Manila.

I am wondering based on the wording of your post, if Manila has your case and is loading it into their database, or has the case file not even arrived in Manila for them to start loading the case into the database.

I can tell you if the case is at the Embassy then they will load it into the database within a week. Email them for confirmation.

On the other hand, if it has not yet actually arrived at the Manila Embassy, then you are possibly looking at quite a wait.

Do you know which case it is?

Good luck

I am a U.S citizen and I have the same problem. We received a letter that your case has been transfer to U.S embassy in Lonodn which we did not request this. We wanted to have the interview in Abu Dhabi. So we requested the transfer of file from U.S embassy in London to U.S embassy in Abu Dahbi. We received a letter that your case has been transfer to the Abu Dhabi on July 27. Today is October 6, and we are still waiting for the U.S embassy in Abu Dhabi to receive the requested file. Every time I e-mail the embassy they tell me they don't have our file yet.I am so worry and I want to know if anyone experienced the same situation. How long we have to wait? I am worry maybe our case is lost or something wrong.
