Thank you for mentioning system76. I forgot that they offer free Powered By Ubuntu stickers. I should like to have one if I end up going back to Ubuntu for my OS (currently Windows XP 32-bit).

Well... a netbook is basically a small laptop, isn't it? Can't really hold it with one hand.

Well, a laptop can do more than an iPad. The question is, do you need that extra functionality?

If all you want to do is read books, browse the web and watch YouTube videos, get an iPad.

It's pretty powerful considering its size.

I have played with it and I do like it, I just don't think it should cost anywhere near what they are charging. That's why I'd like to know what it does that makes is more expensive than a netbook.

A netbook is a great backup and accompaniment to a laptop. For emails, and simple websurfing, and setting people straight here, a netbook is a great addition.

I will learn from Mark's mistake of eagerly buying 2 iPads during the hype season. Instead, I will wait till the hype dies down and buy my iPad when they drop the price $75 bucks. You know they will.
