Just signed up for this site mainly because I am looking for an answer concerning the Affidavit of Support forms. My wife is a legal permanent resident and filed the I-29 to bring her son here. We are at the point of filing the AOS forms. She is obviously the sponsor and due to her limited income I helping by filing the I-864a, support from a household member. My question is this: Do I also file an I-864 or just the I-864a form? If I do have to file the 864, in question 24 asking about income, neither d nor e pertain. Do I leave it blank or am I supposed to chose one?

IF

--son is under 21

--you married the mother before his age of 18

--wife came in on K-1 visa

then SHE files an I-130 to bring him in.

If it's been 1 year or less, since visa interview, for an I-130 petition /CR-1 visa on the spouse, though -

YOU can file another I-130 on the son (under 21 years of age, under 18 at time of marriage) as a CR-2 visa.

I've no idea what an I-29 is, though.

If she is filing AOS forms, at this, point, though (I-864) I must assume there's an I-130 somewhere, on the son.

Can verify any steps/dates?

1. sent off petition (type and date)

2. got petition approval (date)

3. NVC has petition (date)

4. NVC send you AOS fee bill via email (date)

Now, is quite possible that you've set up a K-2 follow-to-join case, if that's indeed the case, this is great - as GUZ IV has all but stopped those, recently.

----

You, as a co-sponser and household member, would file the I-864a.

I am really muddled as to petition type you are filing, though.

Hey - you around ?

Could you verify who the petitioner was ? After re-reading your post and my response, I'm even more muddled as to 'who is who'.
