HELO THERE,

I SENT OUT FORM I-130 ON 5/27/2010. MY QUESTION IS: CAN MY HUSBAND SEND ME A COMPLETED AND SIGNED COPY OF DS-3032 APPOINTING ME AS HIS CHOICE OF AGENT NOW? SO WHEN HE RECEIVES HIS I JUST SEND OUT THE ONE I HAVE ON HAND FROM HERE IN THE US, MY HUSBAND IS IN CHILE AND I WANT TO SAVE TIME. I ALREADY HAVE ALL THE OTHER ORIGINAL PAPERS HE WILL NEED AS WELL, I GOT THEM WHEN I WAS THERE VISITING HIM THIS PAST FEBRUARY.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I PLAN ON EMAILING A COMPLETED FORM (ON WORD DOC) HE WILL PRINT OUT SIGN AND SEND IT TO ME .

Yes. Certainly can do that. Just keep track of the one they send to him. There may be a barcode at the top of the DS-3032 they send to him which will be specific for his case number. (However the form is the same info).

Another thing you may want to do is call NVC and give them your email address. (you can add his too if you want). This also helps a lot because then NVC will correspond via email rather than postal mail. (To include sending some forms to you as a PDF attachment and / or links to forms.). This also helps save time and makes things a little easier as you both try to accomplish some things from two different countries. Keep in mind, although you can receive forms and links from NVC via email, the completed and signed forms will still have to be sent by postal mail / courier. But, at least some of the waiting time can be reduced.

Lastly, always check any forms for their status. Many forms are revised every-so-often. Usually you can look for an effective and / or expiration date of a particular form at the top right corner. In many cases, older forms are still accepted. But, it is best to double check.

For example, the DS-3032 sent to us by email from NVC turned out to be an expired form, however, it had the barcoded case number and my wife's name, but in checking their website, the new one was available to download. (and fillable on computer) then print and sign... (just as your idea in your post). In our case, i just printed the DS-3032 with the barcode NVC sent by email / cut out the name and barcode / filled out the current version of the DS-3032 (from the website) and pasted the barcode with her name and case number onto the new one (I mean physical cut-and-paste, NOT by computer). I then made a clean copy of the form (so its all one clean form) my wife signed it and we sent it in. End of story. No problems and everything proceeded as normal.

To notify NVC of your email address, call them at: (603) 334-0700. Go through the prompts and choose to speak with a live operator.

Best Wishes,
