Crossing the border without activating the visa?

Thanks y'all for your replies! And thanks for sharing your personnal experiences with this!

I'll definitly try to cross the border, and if im denied entry, i'll just call my fiancé and tell him to take the bus to Montreal, so at least we have a back up plan! :) And it's only for 2-3 hours, and as of now, i never had any problems crossing the border.. (I'll cross my fingers and touch some wood just in case!!) We'll see what happens!

The phrase that would be better is "knock on wood" since you want good luck.
