Hi guys,

I need your advice so bad. I hope you can help me out.

I am waiting since Dec. 09 for getting my GC and my civil docs are just recently almost complete.

But that would mean I would have my appointment at the Consulate in 2 months about.

I am away from my gf ever since I left and I can't take it anymore to stay away from her. So I'm considering to use my VWP to visit her for a few weeks, till my appointment letter comes.

But I heard I might get problems at the POE, if they would know that my case is current right now.

And they would reject me there. Plus that would have a tremendous effect on my eligibility for the GC at the day of the interview.

Is that true guys? I would really appreciate any helpful information. I'm really so desperate and sick of waiting.

You should not have any problems visiting your girlfriend in the US. The fact that you are waiting for your interview in Germany is proof enough that you want to go back there so that you will get your Green Card. Don't worry too much.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
