you can go and try. I have read where the embassy there DOES in most cases allow the USC to be there during the interview. You will most likely be able to at least go inside the embassy with your spouse.

Sure you can. When I had my interview, I have seen some girls who were accompanied by their husbands/fiances. I've also read several posts where the petitioners were present and they were also asked some questions by the CO.

Thanks guys for all the reply, next question I have is, is it possible for my wife to pick up the visa instead of waiting for Air 21? Reason is she will be going back to U.S. with me 10 days after the interview. If its possible, how can I address this to the CO? Thanks again.

You can always ask the consul officer at the end of the interview. From my reading here on VJ, more often than not the consul officer will grant your request.

If the consul officer will not grant your request, you should still have enough time to wait for the visa since you have ten days. However, when it comes to visa delivery, there are no guarantees. That's why you should never buy the beneficiary's plane ticket until you have the visa in hand.

I think it is beneficial for the petitioner to be there. Just in case they decide to ask you any questions. I saw a few beneficiaries that did not have successful interviews. In those cases, the petitioner usually was not there. They mostly asked my fiancee questions, but they did ask me a few quick questions to clarify some things. I would go if you could.

However, if you have to wait for delivery, make sure you have time to wait. Just in case. It took 7 working days to deliver our visa.

Just ask the CO if you can pick up your visa as you want to return to the US together on the same flight. We were able to pick up our visa 2 days after the interview.

Good luck!

Thanks guys for a very informative input. I want to know if when they call my wife's name to be interviewed, do we have to go at the same time? Do i have to tell the CO if it's ok to be with my wife? Or i just keep silent til CO say something 1st? By the way, appropriate clothing for interview, a coat & tie? Then, how do i address to CO that we would like to pick up the visa instead? In writing or verbal? Maraming salamat po!

Do i have to tell the CO if it's ok to be with my wife? Or i just keep silent til CO say something 1st?

Ask the CO immediately if he/she allow u to be there.

By the way, appropriate clothing for interview, a coat & tie?

Wear whatever u want. As long as it's presentable.

Then, how do i address to CO that we would like to pick up the visa instead? In writing or verbal?

Verbal right after the interview. Maraming salamat po!
