DS-230 - docs required or not?

Hello All,

I am reading two opposite things about the DS-230.

One place says all the original documents should be sent with it - passport photo page, birth cert etc etc. The other place says you only need these for the interview.

I am assuming we do send originals and certifiable copies with the DS-230 but can someone just confirm this?

You are probably reading information from people who filed directly with a consulate vs filing directly with USCIS and then processing through NVC.

Yes, you send the documents to NVC with the DS-230.

Send originals or certified copies in to NVC with the DS-230. If anything expires or changes, bring the new original or certified copy of docs to the interview.
