each petition is different.. many can go without an atty and some really need one... its a case by case thing.. complicated cases often needs an atty...

well in my case...I am american and she is bulgarian living in london for school. we met in 2007 and talked til we became serious in aug2009. she has been denied a visit and I have been denied a marriage visa to marry her in london. I went to see her in london in march for 9 days after the disapprovals, and all this happened this year. Do you think this is a complicated case?

Really a lot depends on why you were both denied. Was it just lack of proof of your relationship or something else? If it is a simple fix, then you can probably do this on your own, with help from VJ. If there are other mitigating circumstances we don't know, as to why you were both denied, than perhaps you DO need an attny. The vast majority of people on VJ applying for a K1 or CR1 have successfully done this without the help of an attny. Without knowing the whys, it is hard to even guess if you might need one.
