Does anyone know if my wife can get NBI clearance from a regional NBI office or does she have to go to main office in Manila? If so, does it matter to USEM which NBI office it comes from?

My wife obtained hers from her regional office (Butuan , Mindinao). Here is a link we used when beginning our K-1 process (approved July 09!). From what I see you can go to any office as long as you have the correct I.D.

My wife lives in Butuan City so that is where she was going to go.

My wife got her NBI clearance in her hometown of Bacolod.

She got a police clearance from the Bacolod police department also.

My husband got his from the Cebu city office.

Timeline:

03/15/08- Met online

01/03/09- Met in person for the first time.

01/15/09- Got engaged

02/18/09- Sent I-129F

02/20/09- Recieved at Vermont Service Center

02/23/09- NOA 1

02/24/09- Check cashed

02/27/09- NOA 1 Recieved hard copy in mail

07/04/09-NOA 2

08/08/09-NOA 2 Recieved hard copy in mail

09/15/09- Medical taken Sputum test required

9/22-9/24-Sputum Testing(Results negative) Now the wait begins for the culture results

11/24/09-Praise God Sputum culture negative......told to report to St Lukes for immunizations.

12/03/09- Medical Exam Passed and complete.

12/15/09- Interview Passed!!!! Visa Approved!! Praise be to God!!!

12/24/09- Visa in Hand

12/30/09- POE- JFK

02/22/10- Married

If God be for me who can be against me!!

Hello your wife can get her NBI at her specific place or in BUTUAN CITY.

Let her get barangay clearance 1st then tell her to go to MUNIPAL office there to also get POLICE clearance then she is now ready to go to NBI office in BUTUAN CITY

or here's the requirement

1. POLICE CLEARANCE

2. LIVE BIRTH

3. or Marriage certificate

3. 1 or 2 valid ID's

4. money around 115 pesos

5. Pray and have a safe trip

Yeah just the regional office. My wife went to the one closest to her town. (i was with her when we went there)

I would just wait to get her NBI until you are closer to approval though. NBI is all she will need for the PI though...no police clearances required.

Removal of conditions Journey

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.
