Maybe someone here can help me with this G-325A form (Biographical Information).

I am an American living in the Philippines with my Filipina wife. I am going to petition the US Embassy in Manila for an IR-1 imigrant visa for my wife. We are doing a Direct Consular Filing (DCF).

I was told I need to submit along with a I-130 application form, a separate G-325A form for both my wife and myself.

The top section of the G-325A is pretty self-explanitary. My personal info goes on my G-325A, and my wife's personal info goes on her G-325A.

My question concerns the rest of the form ... The rest of the form addresses the "Applicant" ... Well, the way I see it, I am a US citizen and my wife is the "Applicant". So, where it asks for the Applicant's address for the last 5 years, the Applicant's last address outside of the US, the Applicant's employment for the last 5 years, and the Applicants last occupation abroad, I guess that would ALL have to do with my wife? ... If so, both my G-325A and my wife's G-325A would all read the same except for that top section of the form?

At the very bottom of the form it says "Applicant: Print your name and allien reg. number" (family name, given name and middle initial) ... I guess my wife's family name would be on both our forms too? ... Since we are married, I guess her family name would be my last name?

Oh ya, it says "Signature of Applicant" at the bottom of the form. Would my wife sign both my G-325A and her G-325A forms?

Yup, I'm confused!

Thank's for any and all help

Ron,

Philippines

Separate G-325A forms for each of you.

Whoever's name is at the top of the form is the "applicant" for that particular form. So even though your wife is the immigrant, you're the "applicant" on your form. She's the "applicant" on her form. You sign yours; she signs hers.

RE: Family names. Ask her what her name is now that she's married to you. Different places have different ways of doing it. I'm pretty sure she'll know her own name.

Good luck!

Each party (petitioner and beneficiary) fills out a seperate G-325A providing their own biological data. In other words, you complete one form as the "applicant", your wife does the same on her form.
