I don't know if you guys remember but my case got transferred from CSC to local office. I finally had to get the senators office involved. USCIS never would respond to them yet anytime they sent a request to check on it USCIS would touch the case. Well, finally received notice of INTERVIEW from them this weekend. I have a question, can you request another location to be interviewed at? The reason why is because the only one in my state is 6 hours from where I live. However, there is one in a neighboring state that is only 2 hours from me.

Green card and welcome letter arrived today!!!! YAAAAY!!!

Naijabound - No idea about interviewing in another state...maybe a question best posed in the general forum? I'm not sure if any of us interviewed in a different place than the original one scheduled. Argh, what a pain though - I hope your interview goes smoothly! When's it scheduled for?

I forgot to say yesterday that when we got the card & were looking at it it says "Resident since 10/13/10." Meaning that they approved it almost 2 weeks before letting us know, and making us fret that they never got our RFE response. Arrrrgh! Thanks for the ulcer, USCIS! :P

Thank you so much. It does feel good to finally have this over.

Aw congrats, glad your journey is over, now sit back and relax a while :)

Gotta love the USCIS!! I can imagine an officer sitting back in his chair looking at your approved paperwork just smiling figuring out how much longer he can make you wait.

As for me nothing. I didnt even bother calling USCIS to see if they would reschedule the interview in Atlanta. We have just taken off work to go to the appointment in Memphis. I'm afraid doing that would cause a even more delay and I am ready to get this over with. I'm curious and will be asking them why after our case was sent to CSC did it get pulled and sent to a local office for a interview. If they have doubts about us they are more than welcome to show up at our doorstep and inspect, lol. Heck, I would even offer them milk and cookies  Does anyone on here know someone or had their own case done like this?

I have read about a few such cases on VJ...one of them in particular I remember them saying the interview was really easy and lasted like 10 minutes or something, and they had no idea why they had been selected for interview after having been transferred to CSC. I hope yours is the same and they don't put you through some crazy interrogation! But even if they do I know you'll be great :)
