I just got my 10 years greeencard and I saw on my card said " Resident Since 11/20/07". My question are

1. Does it mean that I have to wait untill Nov to file the N-400? Or Is it base on ouw 3rd anniversary ? Any Information would help. Thanks alot

You go by the date on the greencard (11/20/07) - that is your base number.

5. When does my time as a Permanent Resident begin?

Your time as a Permanent Resident begins on the date you were granted permanent

resident status.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Hey you got approved 1 day after me....

Yes - you are eligible to apply August 22th 2010 (I am August 21st..... heheheeee). They allow within 90 days prior to your 3rd year residency anniversary to apply.

Hello everybody; actually is easy. You can file the N400 form 3 months before the 11/20/07, I recommend you better 2 months before, because, the process is right now relatively fast (abot 90 days); so you go sure 2 months before, I've heard that you can arrive to the interview 1 monthh before the 3 years, but it is going to be a little problem because you are going to arrive to the interview with 2 years and 11 months; hence, you need to have at least exactly 3 years with the green card at the time of the interview; therefore, I recommend you to apply only 2 months before of the date, that is 09/20/07 or September 20, 2010.Thanks and bye,
