Hi Guys,

Just want to share this with everyone. I was a bit surprised to see how fast it was.

1.) Sent my I-129F on 4/20/10 to CSC

2.) CSC received my application on 4/21/10 and issused NOA1 same day!!!!!

3.) Check cashed on 4/22/10 (got the case no. from the posted check receipt from my bank online, loged in to USCIS and saw the NOA1 issued already on 4/21/10, NICE)

4.) NOA1 in hand on monday 4/26/10, less then a week after sending my application.

I knew NOA1 is ususally fast as its just an acknoledgement that USCIS have the application but I was still really surprised to see how fast this was.

I just hope the rest of the process goes this fast. I have waited long enough.

Congrats make sure you come join the other April CSC filers in our forum!!!!!

Hey congratz! Actually it is a nice little hurdle to jump. When you get an NOA1, it means that your petition is initially scanned by USCIS staff and they are checking to make sure you signed your 129F and your check is for the right amount (and signed). So, in a sense, you pass the first test, now on to the waiting process and the adjudicator.

Thanks. It already feels way to loooooooooooooooooooooooooong. I would have been in this 'line' a month ago if the stupid international courier hadn't misplaced the package with her documentation. But hey, I am still happy. It is finally in.

yea congrats on that. also remember that the 5 month processing time period that uscis tells you is from the date of RECEIPT, NOT date of the NOA! this is sort of important when you (hopefully wont) have to battle with them 5 months down the road to expedite your case. i hope it doesnt take them 5 months to do it, but while i went thru the same NOA1 speed, it took 5 months and 10 days for uscis NOA2 approval. best of luck - i hope you and your spouse have plenty of things to do to keep you occupied during this time, b/c this is the worst waiting time. the NVC is fairly quick (3 weeks to SIF after the case is assigned and they recieve the docs/approval from the uscis)...
