Morning! We loving it...still trying to get use to it all. It feels good to be in our own though. Saturday we cleaned and Sunday we were in all day. I find that I enjoy going grocery shopping and actually cooking and preparing meals!

Thats beautiful DW, make that house a home!

So, my husband's mom called him last night to tell him that our nephew, who is 13, was involved in a fight at school. He stabbed the boy twice (not sure with what), but he was hit in the head w/ some sort of object which busted his head open and he had to stay in the hospital. Not sure if it was just for precautionary measures at this point. When my husband tried to get more info from his brother (nephew's dad--he had none--and had done virtually nothing) ranting33va.gifranting33va.gif Needless to say my husband is upset and stressed out, which in turn is tearing my nerves up! I have always been worried about this boy. He runs with the an older group of guys, and they are all bad news. He's supposedly in a gang. I wish there was a way that we could get him away from all of that, but he's having no parts of it. unsure.gif Just keep us in your prayers folks. Will keep you guys posted.

Sorry to hear about all this.. smh.. our youth, our youth!

Thank you!

11pm is just crazy...was supposed to start at 10pm, but STILL that's crazy!

Wow JaEng, you’re so flexible with your time. Even 10pm seems really late for kids. So did you actually get any pixs of the kids.

Good morning every1!

Ahh, do tell how you did that....

I just took Nat’s suggestion on how to get started and last week instead of throwing out the circulars, I looked through them. I usually stick to my favorite brands and stores to shop but this week seeing what was on sale I went with the sale items instead. I brought things I would usually get but paid less by 1. waiting until they came on sale and 2. buying the sale item instead of my brand…they’re usually all the same ingredients anyhow. So for example this week Kodak batteries were on sale a 20pk AA or AAA for $2.99 which is usually $7.99. I buy my kids batteries all the time but I go to the $ Store. It was nice to get the 20pk instead of the 12 I would have gotten for $3 at the $ Store. Also Post cereal were on sale 3 boxes for $5, they are regularly $3.49 and up. I usually only see them on sale 2/$5 at Rite Aid but getting them at the market proved better this week. There were a lot of deals like that and I could go on but I won’t bore anyone with details. Basically, I listened to Nat and taking baby steps, I planned my shopping around this weeks sales and it worked. If I had coupon I could only imagine the savings.

J2A, I love details, so if you ever want to share your savings successes but don't want to offend anyone, PM me!

MrsPalmer, sorry to hear about your nephew. I have a couple of cousins in the SAME situation (run with older guys who are bad news). One even went to jail for something his friends did. Those situations are so frustrating. It's like... can't these males see that there is a better way??
