Hi there,

Has anyone ever had to change their address during the naturalization process?

If so, did you encounter any problems? Was the process delayed?

I am currently living in Washington DC but my husband and I will be relocating to Texas in August.

Thanks,

Stefanie

According to the rules, what, the USCIS has rules? As a green card holder, have ten days to report your move, but you have to be at your new location for 90 days before applying. But you already applied, guess you have to inform them, would use the same address you sent your application to that changes every five minutes and see what happens.

With this Arizona thing, claiming that immigration is a federal rather than a state issue, so why does it make any difference if you move to another state? Also heard if an Arizona cop asks a USC if they are here legally, they would be breaking the 4th amendment of the US Constitution. Court battle going on in Wisconsin right now, making the employees check to see if a person is here legally with very stiff fines if they hire an illegal. But also heard, since the feds aren't doing anything about this problem, all other 49 states will follow Arizona. The ones that don't will get all the illegals. Its a mess, but we are in the middle of this, really had a mess with my wife's employer with that stupid one year extension, why can't they just give her a valid green card? Least when she finally got her USC certificate, all this is history and you can move without having to report it. Still have to maintain foreign passports though.

Should outlaw all parties they hold in Washington, think our leaders are smoking crack.
