sent off DS-230...now what

So according to Canada Post, Montreal consulate has our DS-230 and checklist...now what? What's next? - we wait to hear from Montreal for an interview date? Is that the usual process with DCF? Is there anything we should be doing in the meantime to keep things moving as quickly as possible?

Thanks. :)

So you already have any documents you need to present at the interview. Now you just wait, they will send you an interview letter, at that point you can book the medical.

That's about it.

You need to pay the fee at the interview, have your expresspost envelope and the stuff on the checklist.

Thanks trailmix!

So all these acronyms I'm seeing on other people's timelines won't apply to us? I was getting worried that I had no idea about NOAs and the NVC and Packets 1/2/3/4, etc. (we just totally bypassed the NVC b/c we did DCF right?).

You're such an asset to this community, thank you!

You're welcome - and that is absolutely correct, things that others send to NVC you are either sending to the consulate or taking with you (the DS-230 and the I-864 and all the accompanying documents basically).

The pkt 1/2/3/4 applies to K visas only.

Thank you Trailmix. Choles... I'll be watching you as we seem to be in the exact same boat.
