My husband went to his 1st Interview on Apirl 13th at the El Salvador Embassy, he was seen by a very nice person there. she asked him some questions to compare what she had on his packet. Once they finish she asked him to go pay the $15 to let them know where to send his visa. She did tell him that his packet is complete and that all he needed was to interview with the consulate officer. Now my question is his 2nd interview is on Tuesday, April 20th with the consulate, he had asked the lady if he needed to show any evidence which she said no, that his packet was complete and the the consulate will determined what he needs. Now, Should he still take any evidence or what does it mean when you pay the $15 fee to send your visa?, Also he was deported a year algo and has been in his country a year algo. We do have the waiver ready in case they do ask for it, My husband had asked the lady if she think if he gets punish would it be years or months, she told him Months or days. What do you think the outcome will be? Any one please response.

Thank You.

Depends on the reason for deportation but I suspect this particular woman had no idea about either the deportation itself or its impact on the process. Expect the visa to be denied and to then file the waiver and wait for an answer for weeks to months, not days.

She did know about the deportation.

So that leaves she had no clue how it impacts the issuance of the visa.
