EAD and then...

Hi all,

Here I am to bother you all again with a question. This time, maybe, it is just a silly question, but I thought I should get that off my chest. Please, forgive me if I sound too silly.

Two months and a week later since the biometrics taken, and just over a month after the interview notice, out of blue, the 1-year Employment Authorization Card arrived yesterday. I was expecting it earlier but never came, so, like any other applicants, I thought my fate would be decided on the fateful day - the interview day.

I'm just curious... that, like some of you have already read my other topics before, I'm paranoid about this interview. What does this EAD card mean? Can I still be denied? I assume that it solely depends on the IO, but still what is the likely scenario?

Once again, forgive me for the silly question, and thanks for any answers in advance.

You need to not be so paranoid! The only thing the EAD means is that you can now work - awesome! You might not get much use out of it, since your interview is in two weeks, but at least now you can actively look for work without restriction.

Yes, you could still be denied at the interview. But, you won't be as long as you have all the evidence you need to prove you are legit, which I assume you are already doing. Just relax. If you go into the interview sweating bullets and shi#ing bricks, then the IO is going to be suspicious and grill you. Go in knowing that you are fine and you will get an approval, and things will go your way.
