Went to the mailbox this morning, and found my Xpresspost stuffed in there good. Tried to get it out and it ripped. What fell out? My Visa! Yay!!!

Surprising that I got no email notification, and didn't even have to sign for anything...but overall just relieved that it finally came, and didn't even need to call a congressman! To recap, my interview was in the first week of January where I was denied, saying I needed more proof of establishing domicile, and after gathering more evidence, sending it to MTL on Feb 17, almost 8 weeks later I got my packet. Lots to think about and plan this weekend...can't believe its finally here and official!

Marisp-would you mind just listing what you sent in to prove establishing domicile?

I am in the same situation. Got refused at interview, came right home and put more evidence in the mail.

Would be super helpful to know what additional documentation you sent in.

Many thanks! And Congratulations!

Sunny

Congrats girl!!! Have a good POE!

Invictus..

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll.

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.

Everyone's situation is different, and I really think they do in fact deal with them in a case-by-case manner. I think you should submit whatever makes the most sense to prove, that (as the interviewer told us) you are in fact either established, or in the process of establishing your domicile, using the 2 chair analogy, that you are more in the US chair now than the CDN one. Get what you would get naturally to prove it, don't get proof or some invoice from U-Move or wherever if you are not actually ever going to use them!

Personally, we have a house leased, so we sent the lease, the changed over bills, and included the energy bill, internet, utilities, gas, new cell phone, bank account info, state ID. Maybe there were some other things we added I missed, but like I said, it really depends on your situation.

Hope that helps. Good luck.
