And I ended up scanning everything I could and emailing it to Anna because the package has been stuck in Great Britain for 3 days.

Same to you....

I did the same thing. Kiev appears to be less strict than Moscow but I am concerned about a copy of my certified divorce decree not passing muster.

What do you think might be a problem? The copy is certified, right? Should be fine.

It's a scanned copy of a certified copy. I was taking it with me for her interview.

Thanks to all.

Yes, she had the copy. When I get a chance to talk to her in depth I'll post an interview review. Now she is on the train back home. She handled it exceptionally well alone and on short notice. I'm very proud of her.

Well, as it turns out, Russian mail was more reliable than Fed Ex. The original package I sent showed up today and she was able to retrieve it from the post office with a half hour to spare of it closing. And she leaves tomorrow morning at 5am. All I can do is laugh. ;)

I had that happen in just the opposite way. She sent me a post card and it made it to Anchorage, marked undeliverable and sent back to Russia. I just happened to be in Russia at the time it came back, we were walking out of the apartment building on the way to the airport when she checked her mail and found it. Address to me was perfect.

Gotta love the mail!
