I have instructed my Wife in Colombia to set up the packet the same way and to keep an exact copy for herself.

Quick question though, just to make sure I have it straight,

I'm the petitioner, I'm in the USA

My wife is in Colombia

Does the the DS 230 need to be sent by her in Colombia since she has to sign it, or do I send it from here. I don't get that part. I'm thinking it needs to be sent from Colombia since she needs to sign it.

She can send it to you and you can send it in for her, however it MUST be signed by her. Good Luck :)
