NVC delay in receiving the case

My wife's I130 was approved on 03/26.

As of today, NVC has not yet received the case.

Do I need to wait some more time ?

Its depends. Mine took 4 days but each case is different. I would say check back within a week or so and call NVC.

Yes, I did call NVC and spoke to an operator . She requested me to wait 3 weeks. It sucks to wait for 3 weeks.

Hi All,

Today, I spoke to a CIS cusomer rep about the delay in sending the file to NVC.

She then forwarded me to a second level supervisor.

Supervisor asked all the security questions and after that, she said that post-processing is going on and

it will take some more time before they forward the case to NVC.

She asked me to wait for another 2 or 3 weeks.

Did anybody else go through this 'post-processing' stage at CIS after the I130 approval ?

I find it weird though.

Any inputs are appreciated.

Sims, Keep on calling NVC everyday until you get the NVC number. You really need to talk with an operator. AVR is little bit tricky and they dont update as often....so.... Anyway I think USCIS are just simply making things up to say something. Everything will turn out fine. In the mean time arrange everything else that need to be done. Good luck/

Sims, Keep on calling NVC everyday until you get the NVC number. You really need to talk with an operator. AVR is little bit tricky and they dont update as often....so.... I just called NVC this morning, they said give them 15 days...mine was approved on 3/31

After doing some research, I found that the delay in sending the file to NVC is because the USCIS never sent the petition (though it is marked as sent in their system). It sits in their mail room until somebody (like a senator's office & congressman's office) inquires about it.

I just called right now and my case was in the AVR, I also gave them the email addresses. You may want to call on check on your case...

I got the case number, paid AOS and did sent my AOS.
