What is the soonest my wife can become a citizen?

Her Thai birth certificate was lost and her document in lieu of BC was questioned. The Thai government said they don't care if America doesn't like it.

We were going for a 2 year card at first, but after all the delays she ended up with a 10 year card!

We want to move to Thailand as soon as possible and need to learn of options, if any. Can't afford to fly the family back every year.

After she is a legal permanent resident for three years and if you're still married at that time, she can apply 90 days before 9/10/12...so that's 6/10/12.

That's correct, except that 90 days is 6/12/2012 and not 6/10/2012. If USCIS receives her file 6/11/2012 then they will reject it and return it saying that you filed too early... so be careful about the 90 day rule and don't expect them to be flexible.

I figured it was the 3 years but was hoping someone knew of a "James' shortcuts" kind of a deal. She can go early if she's on a religious mission -from my previous hunting around. Or for official work, ie; for government.

She could ask to keep her petition for citizenship open while out of the country with this application form;
