After years of covering racial hoaxes on college campuses and victim sob stories in the public arena, I’ve encountered countless opportunists who live by that demented mindset. At best, the fakers are desperately seeking 15 minutes of infamy. At worst, their aim is the criminalization of political dissent.

Upon decimating the deliberative process to hand President Obama a health-care “reform” victory, unpopular Beltway Democrats and their media water-carriers now claim there’s a tea-party epidemic of racism, harassment, and violence against them.

On Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued a tepid, obligatory statement against smearing all conservatives as national-security threats. But her lieutenants had already emptied their tar buckets. Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman Chris Van Hollen accused Republican leaders of “stoking the flames.” Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn accused the GOP of “aiding and abetting” what he called “terrorism.”

Sounds like many liberals on this board are lock step with queen Nancy in their posts.

You are actually working two related themes here.

1. MANY COLLEGE HATE CRIMES TURN OUT TO BE BOGUS.

2. THE LEFT USING RACIAL ACCUSATIONS TO SHUT DOWN THEIR OPPOSITION.

So desperate are they to work this angle, they actually put the group of Black politicians together... had them walk though the Tea-Party crowd last week temping the "racists" to react.

When all nasty comments dealt only with politics.. they fabricated racist insults and as yet have not turned up one speck of evidence of it.

Seems the Left is so obsessed with all things Race, that they are betting "this" is their silver bullet to kill to Right and middle with.

I think people are growing numb to the charge and it becomes less and less effective.

I saw a story where a $10,000.00 reward is being offered to anyone who can produce even one clip of John Lewis being called a racial slur (he claims it happened a half a dozen times last week).

How pathetic that a man who has so many people convinced he is an "icon" or "hero' of the civil Rights era has become so politicized that he slanders people by fabricating such things.

(And too dull to not realized there were a thousand microphones on that day).

And here the gullible were thinking...... Obama was "post racial"... he was going to move up "beyond race".
