ive searched the forum and i know you can change your address online, or call them (i'm the petitioner)

i was wondering, are you still able to change your address even after you receive your noa2 and it goes to the nvc/embassy?

also in my forum searches i found only a few discussing it, and one person changed his address and ended up never receiving the noa2... is this a risky thing to do? should i suck it up and wait for the visa process to be complete before moving?

after a little more searching i found this:

that gives me hope that the change of the address actually works with no problems.

please delete this topic... sorry.

CAN BE, You should get a NOA for the I-865 that confirms the change of address, follow the instruction on the PDF form. should i suck it up and wait for the visa process to be complete before moving?

To report a sponsor's new address and/or residence, as required by 8 U.S.C. 1183a(d)

Sponsor will need to fill out form I-864 sign and mail the form in.

Download I-865 (44KB PDF)

so you have to fill out a I-865 for an address change for a k1 visa? (address change for the petitioner) i guess i was under the impression you just do it on their website or call them.

thanks!

What ever visa your going for makes no difference in the change of address for the petitioner. Read the 'Instruction on the form'

yeah, i was reading it... but i guess this part confused me:

"When Should I Use Form I-865?

If at any time in the past you completed Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, to sponsor an immigrant, you are required to report your change of address within 30 days of the change if the sponsorship agreement is still in force"

I didn't fill out an I-864... I've only completed the i-129f and g-325a and am currently waiting on my noa2.

thanks for the assistance.
