Hi,

I passed my N400 test on march 16, but because a week before that i just came back to the country the US custom and Border Protection officer created a " T-File" USCIS cant naturalized me before they review that "T-File".

she told me that she requested that "T-file", so im just waiting.

Did any of you happened to had the same issue?

Its been almost 2 weeks now and nothing.

What is "T-File"????

Thanx!

I am not exactly sure about this, but when someone replies, that gets the ball rolling.

It's my understanding, right or wrong, when the Border Patrol can't find your A-File, they create the T-file, A for Alien, T for temporary. Several months ago a person experienced major delays due to the fact the Border Patrol created two A-files for him with two different Alien numbers. Can't recall how he made out.

Just seems like one of the agencies makes an error, and we have to pay the price, suggest you contact your congressman or senator, whichever has the best immigration help for them to make an inquiry into your case. But you may want to wait a couple of weeks more first, unless they also lost your T-file.

Apparently, they keep track of when we leave and come back, a bit dense on this subject.

It happened to me. They assigned me two different A numbers, perhaps because they created 2 different files. I have no idea. The thing is that delayed the arrival of my Green Card for over one whole year. I made several infopass appointments, inquiries over inquiries, calls to the Chicago immigration office and they directed me to the California office...it was a mess, just so in the end for them to tell me they misplaced my file. They kept switching the blame from one office to another when they couldn't blame FBi anymore(I had proof my fingerprints and name check got cleared). They miraculously found it once I got the governor and my representative involved.

I'm not sure what to tell you, OP, but having to wait for a governmental agency is quite familiar and happens a lot. Give them a call and ask how much waiting is involved or just ask for your state representative's help.

Thanx Guys!

I filed for N400 3 months ago, it was fast, so far.

I'll let you guys know if anything happens!

If anyone else wants to add something to this topic, please do so!

If that is a photo of Ziia, she definitely is not a guy. Ironically, it was that Chicago office that delayed my wife's friend path for 15 months due to that stupid utility bill she didn't bring with her, but she did bring ALL of the stated evidence. She only lives 50 miles from the St. Louis office, but lives in Illinois so they made her go up there. Since I was born and raised in Chicago, became accustomed to everyone there trying to rip you off. Much nicer in Central Wisconsin where neighbor helps neighbor. Her senator was Obama and he and his staff were not around to help her.

Seems like if you have nothing to hide and have the courage to contact your representative or congressman, that is when you have action. While I know my congressman personally, he was too busy running for re-election to help me. That is also kind of crazy with congress, spend one year of a two year term in Washington, the second year trying to get re-elected. So Dave told me to contact Russ, Russ handled it for us. Next year, both Dave and Russ are running for re-election, glad it's over for us, certainly wouldn't get any help from either of them.

I asked both Dave and Russ if they could name the 1,525 government agencies we have, both admitted they couldn't. Said, isn't that also a bit crazy? Agencies claim that congress is making the rules, how can that be if congress can't even name the agencies they created? So kind of have the impression we live in a screwed up country. Didn't start that way, was actually refreshing to study the civics test with my wife when life here was simple.

Because the CIA couldn't talk to the FBI, George creates Homeland Security and make the old INS part of it and puts a campaign helper, Emilio in charge that can't even speak good English. So we have to deal with messed up forms. Russ was the only one against this move, but he was only one in a hundred. Agencies once only had the power to advise congress, today, they are making laws of which many go against the US Constitution. What a mess.
