Administrative Processing

I finally heard from the US Consulate, but the Visa office Public Inquires is the one that replied to my email. I wonder why? Anyways there saying that the paper work that was turned into them after my husbands interview is in Administrative Processing. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. How long can you stay in Admin processing before you hear anything?

When you love someone from the bottom of your heart; so much that you are willing to give your life for your loved one, time and distance takes a backseat. Only love prevails. And with love in your hearts you can overcome anything.

Administrative processing is a catch all phrase they use. It can be something as simple as waiting for someone to look at the file and approve it or more complicated like name checks. It can be 2 days, 2 months or 2 years. No one can really say unless you know what they are doing with your file.

Did you email the Montreal consulate? I looked at your past posts and didn't see any mention of it.

Administrative processing just means they are finishing processing your approved petition by doing additional standard procedures. like background checks etc.. Mine took 17 days then get sent to Haiti. so no worries it should be leaving soon. :)

Yes I did email the US Conslate, but the Visa Office , Public Inquiries Division in Washington DC responded. It took them 6 weeks to respond. Maybe because they are backlogged!!!!!!
