I flew with Eva Air and its china airlines it wasn't that bad.Lay over once in Taipe. But I $500paid more than what you're going to pay. That's really a good deal.Thought plane tickets are so expensive this time. Maybe not since your wife's friend will give her discount. Eva air is what my hubby used every time he goes to the Philippines and back to US.

my wife's friend isnt giving the discount. That is from calling china airlines directly in manila. That is for a one way ticket and only to alaska.

yeah, my wife says that it will be too cold for here here..hehe

I guess we will just see...I know we will have to do some so shopping right away...that is why i want her to fly into anchorage and I will drive to get her there..

Funny...my fiancee keeps asking me if we can move back to Alaska when she comes here. Especially since my mom/dad live up there in Anchorage. And my fiancee wants to see some snow.....she doesn't know that once the snow sticks in October, it stays till April..or so..I told her...we'll just go up for Xmas...

Bring her in x'mas time and then bring her again in the summer, and let her see how it changes!

yeah but that isnt "china airlines"...just an airline in china. either way...i think that mhay will have no problem with flying to anchorage...just like most other flights. I have been on some bad ones, but its what all you make of it...I have been on some military flights where my feet froze to the floor (was snowing in germany and the heat didnt work over where we were sitting)

is china airlines that bad? I dont want to have my wife change planes 2 or 3 times and have a 3 and 12 hour layover on her way to alaska. This is the only flight that is direct to anchorage (with one stop)

philippine airliness also offer first time immigrate discount, their is one PAL right alround the corner of St.Lukes Medical, and they can find her a flight to anywhere with good discount

Yeah, but the only PAL flight would be out of Manila for my wife...the rest of the flights would be different airlines anyway...If she was to take the PAL flight to Taipei, I think it would give her a longer layover there. It's still china airlines from taipei to anchorage. Problem is flying to alaska....I dont want to have her do customs in seattle...You either get a 2 hour layover (which isnt enough time to do customs and find the next gate since she has never been there) or 12 hours. Nothing in between.
