K-1 March interviews montreal- visa in hand waiting time

Hi all,

Congrats to all those who have completed their interviews and good luck for the upcoming ones!

I'm just wondering if I can get an idea of how long people are waiting for visa in hand after the interview, and also if anyone has been able to pick up the visa the day after. I'm not planning on going home (all the way east), and am crashing at hotels and friend's places whenever and wherever until I get the visa and then I want to cross the boarder from montreal. I'm really hoping I can pick it up myself.

We were told no, you cannot pick it up at the embassy. But I'm not sure if others have experienced the same thing, ask in the Canada forum.

It took us about 7 days (business days) to get your visa

my interview is tuesday. i'm in the same boat..but cuz of my landlord and holidays etc. atm yes it varies. some get it 2-3 days later some longer. it depends when the consulate gives it to canada post.
