I am trying to contact the NVC to find out if they received my I-129F, but always get a busy signal.

Is it something that's weird today, or do I have to keep trying until I get through?

Yes, it is normal. It took us many many calls when trying during the afternoon. Keep trying whenever you have a free time, or very early like said above.

I found the best time to be around 7:30pm EST. And that is what the lady I talked to told me. The calls slow down for a few hours, pick up again around 9:30pm EST

and then slow down just before they stop at midnight. Of the 6 or 7 times I called over two weeks only once did I give up on hold. All other times I got through to

a live person, sometimes a wait for awhile on hold but got through.
