Hi guys, I recently got married and in the coming weeks will be filing for AOS. Currently I'm on F1 visa. I just wanted to make sure I was getting the right documents ready. So far I have the following ready

I-130

- Copy of marriage certificate

- Passport size photo of both my wife and I (Its 1 each right?)

- Copy of her birth certificate

- Copy of my insurance card saying I'm on her work insurance

- 2 affidavits from her family saying the marriage is legit

G-325A for both me and my wife

I-485

- 2 passport size photos

- Certified copy of my birth certificate and a copy of the original

- copy of my passport (Visa page, I-94)

I-693 Full medical done recently

I-864

- Copy of her federal return and w2s for the last 3 years

- Letter from her employer

I-765

- 2 passport size photos

I don't think I need anything else with this since I'm sending it all together.

Am I missing anything here?

Now I have some questions. Currently I am in school (graduating this may) so when I'm filling out the forms, I will be putting my MN address. My wife lives in Wisconsin (she graduated before me, same school). I'm going to move there when I graduate. Is that going to matter in terms of getting my application accepted? Also we have not technically lived together. I go to her house on my breaks so the part where they ask the last address we lived together; what do i write?

She is also in the process of changing her last name, but most likely won't have that done before I send the AOS so do I write my last name for her or her maiden name?

Can I just put all the documents in one package and just send that?

Hi, see "guides" on this website. You will find everything there.

I read that already. Seems like some documents overlap so it means I have to send two copies of those like certified copy of marriage license? I would like to know if I put my last name for my wife or her maiden name?

Ok, the address part caught me off a little... You guys dont live together? Im not sure if thats a good thing or not. I'd say talk to a professional abt it to be on the safe side.

We will once I graduate in a month and a half. We have been together for 2 years, known each other for about 4. She used to go to the same school. She just graduated before me. We just got married on March 12.

If you don't live together, I would provide a written explanation as to why. Like you said, she graduated before you, you stay with her on breaks etc. And just include as many different forms of evidence of a legit relationship. I'm at a similar stage of the process as you so I don't have the experience of having gone through the whole ordeal already, but I would assume a written explanation and as much legitimate relationship evidence as you can supply should help, and then they'll likely just ask you a lot more questions at the interview.

I am going on her health insurance, life insurance, her credit cards and such. I will also be getting affidavits from her family saying the marriage is legit. Ours is just a little unique. Since I'm moving there as soon as I graduate (I will be writing that address down in one of the forms where it asks where your spouse is going to live) so I should not have any problems.

That would be very good info to include also to avoid any red flags.
