Hello, my husband had his interview on the 17th of this month, And everything went pretty much great. The CO told my Husband that everything is 100% but they need a hand written statment from me saying that im not required to file for taxes. I already sent it and my husband is going to send it to them tommarow VIA Aramex. I was wondering the only thing on the paper was to send that written statment, First the Co told him sent it along with your passport, but then changed his mind and said just sent the paper and we will call you for the passport so it wont get lost. He told him we will call you after you send the statment it can be anywere from 1 day to the most 2 weeks.

So i was wondering If they did not tell him there would be AP and it was not written on the 221(g) is it likey that after i send it in about 2 weeks we will have are visa?

Im Worried. Thanks!

Hi Muslimqueen,

I hope he will be with you in 1-2 weeks, but was ur husband handed a 221(g) slip? If yes, please go through it and see what is written on it. If nothing about AP, then it is not AP. Go through your 221g slip thoroughly.

Thanks

I hope very much for both your sakes that he does indeed get the visa when they told him he would. However, just because he wasn't given a slip with 221g on it doesn't mean that he might not be in AP. Your husband is a young male from a certain part of the world where AP is common. I'm a British female applying through an embassy where AP is rare, my visa was approved, NO slip, told I'get my passport within a week and yet here I am, four weeks later, no passport and no visa and still in AP :(

Please don't make any plans, book tickets etc until he actually has that visa in his hand...otherwise you'll be cancelling flights like we are!

Good luck and all the best :)
