Hi There

I live in Canada as a permenent resident can i get a greenCard ?

based on what? do you have anyone that can petition for you? a US citizen spouse, or parents, siblings that are US citizens? or a company that will hire you?

If you don't have anyone that can file a petition on your behalf, then no.

I am not 100% sure about this, so please, check with Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on your permanent residency status. As far as I know, if you wish to leave the country, that is when your wife and kids sponsor you in the U.S. (because it takes a lot quicker to be granted vs. applying it from outside of the U.S.), I believe that you can only leave the country for 6 months. Otherwise, you will lose your (landed immigrant) permanent residency. But like I said, you should contact CIC for correct information. Cheers.

Yes! I am approved!!! :)

It took only two (2) months to be approved. Hooray!
