Generally, Pi Day is celebrated at 1:59 in the afternoon (or morning after setting in 12 hours or 24 hours on your clock) because of the approximation to 6 digits (3.14159). Google has decided to create a doodle for the occasion.

Which is known as a day of Pi or Pi day is it, anyway? The approximation of Pi written mathematically by 3.14 is celebrated March 14 or 14/03. In English, Pi results in the March 14, 3 / 14.

In France, Pi tends to be celebrated November 10, since it is the 314th day of the year. For scientists, the deal is different. The number is denoted by the Greek letter TT, a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio between the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Hence, the rounded doodle.

It is also the value of the ratio between the area of a circle and the square of its radius. Hence, the mathematical formulas on the doodle. Pi is found in many forms, associated to the field of physics or engineering in particular. Google did not hesitate to ‘Pi-ize’ logo.
