Registering Emails

Good Morning,

I filed a petition for my step-son. It was approved at USCIS and sent to NVC. I called NVC and they assigned a case number. I want to call and resgister our emails so he can email his DS-3032 when it is time.

What email should I use for my step-son? His mother is living with me in the U.S. Is it ok to use her email or should we make an email for him to use, he is 9 years old?

If NVC has a case number for you call and give emails now. I used my email for my kids. I also signed there documents as they are minors.

I called NVC and registered my email (petitioner) and my step-sons email (used his mothers).

I confirmed with the woman I spoke to that I we could use his mothers email and she can sign his forms as he is still a minor.

I have another question:

I would like to email the DS-3032 form instead of mailing. I read LingChe's guide. It provides a nice template for sending the email. The quesion I have is do I attach the filled out DS-3032 along with this email? Or is the email accepted by NVC without the attached DS-3032?

You can use the template, no need to add the emailed one.

Hopefully this will be the last question regarding the DS-3032.

Since my step-son is a minor his mother is eligible to sign for him. Since this is the case, should he use his mother as his agent? We are married and live together in the U.S. and it seems to make more since to me.

A quick reply would be appreciated.

You or her as the agent. You are the petitioner and she is the parent. With you as the agent she would still sign as he is a minor.

I don't think the DS3032 needs to be signed if your using the template.

You are correct that she doesn't need to sign the form, but she is writing the email and putting her name at the bottom of the email. I think that having her as the agent will also show that we live together and makes the case more complete. Thanks again for your help.
