No no!

Rabbits are pets.

You men  ! C'est la guerre!

My rabbit Bugoybugoy would have been four years old come March 8 if he didn't die at two.

This is the only picture I have of him. I loved him dearly.

I know that word, bugoy. :P If you're rabbit is bugoy, he won't mind if we eat rabbit.

An undercover expose of rabbit farms in two different countries (France and China) shows how cruel rabbits are treated. These poor rabbits spend their lives in cramped and filthy cages. When it comes to them being slaughtered, they are pulled out by their ears, and are shot in the head with a handheld electrical device. Then their throats are SLIT!!! and they can be seen twitching, struggling, shaking and screaming with their eyes wide open before they die. I've been brought up with rabbits and I have never heard them scream...which must mean that they are desperate and really feeling the pain.....Guess what?! Giorgio Armani buys his rabbit fur from these horror farms when he supposedly made a promise to PETA last year that he'd stop, after seeing such disturbing footage. (Fur farmers use the cheapest methods of killing...which include suffocation, electrocution, gassing or ####### and vaginal probing.) This can't carry on any more...

That's is terrible and wrong. There are more kosher ways to kill them.

I always pet my food. Doesn't everyone.

You meant something else... definitely not rabbits, cats, or dogs.

I named him Bugoybugoy not because he was bugoy. He liked running around our first house in Cebu.

Kosher? Kosher is one of the problem areas for animal welfare - slitting the throat and draining the blood (usually by hanging the animal upside down on some kind of hook) without any form of stunning is highly problematic if you do not want the animal to experience suffering while they are slaughtered.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

No I don't care if the animal suffers.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

You should, really. Suffering is suffering, and one should not be apathetic to it no matter what sentient creature is experiencing it. Cruelty, which is the act of knowingly inducing suffering is a much bigger threat to society than gay marriage ever could be.

No, I shouldn't. And no, it's not.

Because you say so? Sentient creatures deserve respect even while we use them to our own ends. Humans have the ability to sense the emotional status of each other, and other sentient creatures. Knowingly accepting suffering because it's too much bother is a desensitizing experience.
